Natech Banking Solutions Launches U.S. Operations
Natech expands into the U.S. market with advanced banking technology solutions tailored to local regulatory requirements, starting with its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solution.

Athens, 21 October 2026 – Natech Banking Solutions has marked a significant milestone in its international expansion with the official launch of its U.S. operations through Natech USA, Inc., headquartered in New York City. Building on more than 20 years of banking technology experience and an established presence across Europe and the Middle East, the company is entering a market of more than 8,000 banks and credit unions. Natech aims to provide flexible technology solutions that enable financial institutions to modernize their banking infrastructure incrementally, without the need to immediately replace their existing systems.
To lead its commercial expansion in the United States, Natech has appointed Michael Morais as Head of Sales, USA. In this role, Michael Morais will focus on building strategic relationships with banks, credit unions, and fintech companies seeking practical ways to modernize their AML and financial crime compliance programs. He brings extensive experience in financial crime technology and regulatory compliance, having previously held senior positions at Temenos, Oracle Financial Services, and NICE Actimize. Morais is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
Natech’s entry into the U.S. market begins with one of modern banking’s most demanding areas: Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and financial crime compliance. Its AML solution has been tailored to support Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance processes and relevant regulatory requirements and supervisory guidance from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC). The solution helps compliance teams reduce false positives, speed up case investigations, and maintain clear, auditable records of their decisions.
At the core of the solution are specialized AI agents supporting different stages of the AML compliance workflow, from transaction monitoring and risk alert analysis to case evidence collection and regulatory report preparation. The technology is designed to augment compliance professionals rather than replace them, ensuring that human experts retain ultimate oversight and decision-making responsibility. The solution’s modular architecture also enables financial institutions to integrate new capabilities progressively into their existing technology environments, without undertaking a large-scale, high-risk core banking system replacement. This module-by-module modernization approach is a cornerstone of Natech’s U.S. market strategy.
“US banks don’t need another AI promise. They need AML technology that holds up in an exam and actually reduces the work. That’s what we’ve built for more than 20 years in Europe and the Middle East, including powering Greece’s first ECB-licensed neobank,” said Thanasis Navrozoglou, CEO and President of Natech. “Michael knows this market, its regulators, and its buyers. He’s the right person to open the US for us. We’re not coming to learn the market. We’re coming to change how it works.”
The launch of Natech USA is accompanied by a dedicated website tailored to the U.S. market, alongside the company’s participation in leading banking and fintech industry events.
