The Deputy Minister of Environment & Energy George Amyras visited Natech

The Deputy Minister of Environment & Energy, George Amyras visited the company's facilities in Ioannina where he had the opportunity to talk with Natech’s CEO Athanasios Navrozoglou and other company representatives.

They referred to the possibilities and challenges of creating an innovation hub that will transform Ioannina into a data lake city as well as to the importance of Greek technology companies being active in the wider region. The problems of internet infrastructure of technology companies were also pointed out, as well as the need to provide incentives to young graduates of the University of Ioannina in order to live and work in the city.

They also talked about exporting the company’s technological solutions, the step of creating new Natech facilities in the heart of the fintech community in Germany, as well as the joint future actions to promote Greek innovation in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. They also referred to the future air connection between Ioannina and Düsseldorf which is expected to facilitate the extroversion of the companies. They talked extensively about the facilitation of the participation of Greek companies in public competitions as well as their promotion by Greek entities abroad.

Mr. Amyras was informed about the successful course and continuous development of Natech in the field of development and provision of banking software, about its expansion in the global market but also about the forthcoming recruitment of many new specialized software engineers. It is worth noting that Natech in recent years has seen a significant increase in staff by 80% with a significant absorption of graduates from the local University.

They also discussed about the company’s latest achievements such as the transition of large banks to Natech’s systems, the company’s rating as one of the 34 banking software providers worldwide and the ranking of Natech CEO Athanasios Navrozoglou in the Fortune Greece list of 40 entrepreneurs under 40 from different sectors of the economy that innovate and stand out for 2021.
